Pedro Ito

Pedro Ito is a drummer and percussionist from Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 1999 he came to the United States to study Jazz at the Berklee College of Music. Since his arrival he has performed and recorded extensively in Boston and New York City with renowned Jazz artists such as George Garzone, John Lockwood, Alain Mallet, Dave Fiuczynski and Jerry Bergonzi. While residing in Brazil, Pedro performed with Arnaldo Antunes for four years. With that band, he toured throughout Brazil, recording and performing with popular artists such as Gilberto Gil, Marisa Monte, Carlinhos Brown and Chico Science. Pedro is also currently teaching Brazilian and world percussion classes, jazz ensembles and private lessons on drum set and various hand percussion instruments.
