2006, and Numark/Alesis/Akai Milestones 2006. She
served as a panelist for the Hip-Hop
Reconstruction, the conference attached to
theBoston Mayor's Hip-Hop Festival. On deck for
the conference and/or concert were such luminaries
as Davey D, Rakim, CL Smooth, Medusa, Nice and
Smooth, and more.
Darcie has counseled countless people in the
subjects pertaining to music business and has
worked with students at Berklee College of Music,
Emerson College, Fisher College, Northeastern
University, Boston University, and Norwich
University. She has interviewed major label
recording artists Josh Turner and The Crystal
Method as well as Ricky Fante. She has been a
panelist for Berklee's Hip-Hop Summit, a moderator
for NEMO 2005 in Boston, and a guest on National
Public Radio alongside Essence Magazine's Cynthia
Gordy. She served as a Preliminary Judge for the
Berklee/Essence Songwriting Competition 2006. She
helped organize and served as panelist for
Berklee's music business department event The
Business of Hip-Hop, and as a panlist for Bentley
College's event of the same moniker.

Women's Music Industry Workshop Online. She was
the 2005/06 Associate Editor, Urban for NoMaSoNHa
Magazine, and offers a course about Contractual
Issues for Musicians on SongU.com. She teaches
Music Business at Boston University's Center for
Design and Imaging Arts. She has also written a
piece for Berklee's Music Business Journal and
serves as a freelance workshop leader concerning
music business matters and continues to lecture
and participate in community events throughout
Boston.
Darcie's band Velvet Stylus performs regularly in
Hip-Hop and R&B shows and backs MCs frequently.
They will back nationally acclaimed artist
Choklate and Grammy-winner Medusa in June.
