Dabo came through surgery well. He'd have sailed through recovery except that his bladder started spasming. That turns the situation around and makes it much tougher to get through. He ended up 4 days in Baptist Hospital but got home on 1/27.

Dr. Hill said he was concerned that some cells had spread. He said the cancer looked "old" and he'd likely had it a while. We will not know until the Path report is complete Tuesday (1/29) whether radiation treatments are needed. Even if so, prognosis is good. Prostate cancer is such a slow growing cancer that radiation will slow it down for years. Of course we pray none is needed and no cancer cells got away but it's not the death sentence it used to be.

With radiation he'll lose his long hair it's taken so many years to cultivate. I am downloading some pictures of the old pro-wrestler "George the Animal Steel" (beautifully bald) for him. A new career could be in the wings!

Though history teaches that humanity inevitably turns technology to destruction and we must therefore, be saved from ourselves by an omnipotent GOD... I am reminded of Genesis 11 and GOD's Hand against Babel. Verse 6 says... "And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do."

Now that we have a universal language once again (comprised of zero and one)... should the LORD tarry - one day cancer will be conquered. The Word is clear however, our destructive nature will ultimately cause us to be saved from ourselves once again. Only after sin is finally subdued will mankind be free to achieve all which we imagine. Even so... come quickly LORD Jesus.

Weekly in da hood... 1108 Howard Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee. Da boyz are currently putting together an accoustic Blues set to gig in every dive and honky-tonk that'll have `em.

Bo & Dabo's 1st gig was Fred & Wilma's wedding reception - that started an illustrious career that has spanned eons. Da boyz were travelin' in a VW bus and passin' the hat in Christian coffee houses before the term "Contemporary Christian Music" was coined by the Nashville Fat Cats & music mogels.

Back in the day t`wuz called Gospel Rock and we gigged with the likes of Randy Matthews, Larry Norman, The Sheep, The Resurrection Band, etc. Then out comes Debbie Boone with "My Father's Eyes" & neon $ signs start blinking in Nashville. Gospel Music rushed to set up tables in the Temple courtyard & to this day sells doves by the ton.

What are 2 disillusioned boyz gonna do? We crawled home to Mama. Da boyz hit the road with Mama Willadean (aka The Mississippi Songbird) for many years playing OLD time Gospel gigs at impressive venues like Fiery Gizzard Baptist Church and The Bucksnort Pentecostal Tabernacle (we know... we're shameless name-droppers). Big Daddy Bill would do the preachin' - we had a grand ole time.

Alas, "life's a vapor" - Big Daddy Bill developed dementia and The Mississippi Songbird had a stroke. What to do, what to do? Thinking back to Bedrock and the bedrock of Rock-N-Roll in dere souls - da boyz decided to remain broke and focus on having fun with what days dey gots left.

In working up a show and video taping it to see what dey got - da boyz came to a stark realization: two 50+ old men inspired by The Beatles & the Stones look kinda ridiculous tryin' to rock out and play to crowds who've never walked across the room to change a TV channel (not to mention feed and water Dino).

After much prayer and meditation, da boyz turned to the source of ALL American music - dem Blues. Christian music set to da Blues? "Heresy!" the establishment cries... "there's no such thing as blues in the Christian lifestyle!"

To them - we impolitely thumb our noses. In da 50 + years we been livin' for the Lord we've experienced divorce, financial ruin, alcoholism, visiting loved ones in jail, deaths of old drugs, sex & Rock-N-Roll buddies and it ain't been happy, happy - joy, joy all dat time.

So what's yer point? Whadda ya got dat anybody else ain't got? H-O-P-E in Christ.

KAZKILL put out "Code Blues" (a reference to the Big Brother world in which we live) in 2006 and in May of 2007 released "Dance of Innocence". In large part due to their Rock-N-Roll background their 1st offering produced Chicago style Blues which ain't really what 2 boyz from da glorious Southland are all about. "Dance" is much more that inbred Delta groove. Bo & Dabo are already in the studio working on an accoustic Blues project that reminisces their poor white trash Mississippi/Tennessee heritage even more closely.

KAZKILL'z produced lotsa projects over the years but only 2 matter at this time: "Code Blues" & "Dance of Innocence". Keep watching... dem boyz ain't dead yet.

Coming soon: "KAZKILL - Live at the Water Buffalo Lodge"

Several we don't care to remember. KAZKILL: Code Blues (2006) Dance of Innocence (2007)

Christian Blues is evangelistic. It's for non-conformist seekers of Truth... bikers, IRS agents, hookers, workin' stiffs just tryin' to survive - all dem folks JESUS spent HIS time with. KAZKILL gives real music to real people about real HOPE!

Brothers Bo & Dabo Kazkill pastor an urban church in Nashville, Tennessee and do Christian Blues anyplace dey can. You could put `em both in a bucket and there'd not be enuff money to buy the water to drown `em but O da boyz iz livin' to the max and enjoyin' life every day. Spiritual Blues ain't for everybody - `specially if you like big ticket Gospel Music but if'n you don't... you may like KAZKILL. Bo & Dabo been discovering therz a whole segment of folks who cut their teeth on Rock-N-Roll, they're too old now to like the young folks CCM but ain't of the persuasion to like traditional Gospel neither! Christian Blues iz fer all dem folks who may have a little snow on the roof but still gots fire in da furnace!

Dem KAZKILL boyz do it again but this time with a more Southern sound. Bo & Dabo's newest release, "Dance of Innocence" is sure to please Blues fans lovin' plenty of B3, slide, harp and good ole Delta groove. Fan and radio feedback calls this KAZKILL'z best CD yet. John Penrice of ChristianBlues.net out of Detroit says... "KAZKILL just keeps getting better and better". Craig Ikerd of Christian Grass Roots Music out of Plymouth, United Kingdom says... "Anyone reading this should know that these guys are the real deal and are good genuine God Loving people ... I am glad to know them and count them as brothers. You can catch them playing on CGRM Radio!" Crystal Clear of Whitedove Radio out of Salem, Missouri has honored da boyz with an "Excellence Award for Dedication and Service".

KAZKILL unabashedly puts evangelism into internet radio rotation. Their indie music is reaching an audience overlooked by major labels. KAZKILL fans understand Blues iz gonna happen - even to Christians - yet we are not "full of sorrow like people who have no hope."

The Apostle Paul says, we wouldn't know Grace without the Law as our teacher. KAZKILL adds, we wouldn't know Joy without knowing dem Blues!"

May God richly bless y'all as you draw near Him! www.kazkill.com
