Originally from West Hartford, CT, Darcie is a seasoned Music Business Consultant, R&B;/Gospel vocalist, songwriter, and freelance journalist; and never what you expect. Darcie may surprise you, and she hopes so!

She began her career in 1976 in child fashion modeling. She also studied acting and modern dance before turning to voice. She became a capable Coloratura Soprano in traditional styles, but developed a true affinity for R&B; and Gospel. In 1991, she made a 180 turn, and teamed up with producers; recording several R&B;/Hip-Hop crossover demos.

Darcie came to Boston in 1994 and landed a spot as a lyricist and demo vocalist for a Boston production company. She earned her degree from Berklee College of Music in Music Business/ Management. She was recognized with two awards from the College, and worked in an administration position at I-POP Records until the company closed in 2002. She's lent her voice to many regional recording projects and formed "...Ask Darcie" Music Business Consulting, which serves clients worldwide, in 2003. She is also the bandleader for Velvet Stylus.
